Coming from the east and cities such as Ottawa, Montreal as well as New York State, guests should make their way to the MacDonald-Cartier Freeway (Highway 401), driving west bound until reaching Prince Edward County/Tyendinaga Exit #566.
From here, guests will turn left onto Highway49 /County Road 15 and travel south as this road becomes Picton’s Main street at the town limits.
The elegant Queen’s Inn at 145 Main Street Picton will be on your right. If you pass Picton’s Tim Horton’s, you’ve gone one block too far.
From the west, travellers from Toronto will make their way along the MacDonald-Cartier Freeway (Highway 401) east bound until they come to Prince Edward County Wooler Road exit #522.
Turning right onto County Road 40, guests will stay straight onto Loyalist Parkway Highway 33 until they come to the Scoharie Road/County Road 1 turn off.
Turning left onto Scoharie Road/County Road 1, visitors will come to Prince Edward County’s only roundabout and take the third exit, rejoining the Loyalist Parkway/Highway 33.
As Loyalist Parkway becomes Picton’s Main Street, guests will note The Queen’s Inn will be on their left, one block past Tim Horton’s.
Motorists coming to stay at The Queen’s Inn are asked to enjoy their drive through beautiful Prince Edward County.
As agriculture is a key plank in both the history and economy of Prince Edward County, motorists are quite likely to encounter slow moving farm implements from time to time and caution should be exercised when sharing the road with these vehicles.
As well, Prince Edward County’s thriving white tail deer population is very active in the fall and the spring and drivers are asked to be mindful during the dawn and dusk portions of the day.
